Sustainable Textiles & Clothing

Ghitta Laskrouif reinvents clothes, by reusing/upcycling fabrics or materials and creating handmade products with high aesthetic that reduce the need to consume.

Based in Casablanca, Ghitta Laskrouif‘s brand was born to celebrate heritage and culture, far from the folkloric Moroccan fashion stereotype, by providing timeless and comfortable contemporary clothes and creating pieces that merge aesthetic and ethics. Ghitta Laskrouif offers products in small series that are not only physically long lasting, but also long lasting in terms of style.

How does Ghitta Laskrouif build a better environment?

Ghitta Laskrouif collections are made recycling, upcycling and reusing fabrics. Moreover, she designs no more than 2 seasons a year with small collections and sometimes out of series products. Apart from this, for recycled fabrics she washes full loads only, and most of times buys light fabric easy to wash from leftover fabric suppliers. Finally, she uses sunlight whenever possible and she always reuses paper for printing.

How does Ghitta Laskrouif care for the community?

Ghitta Laskrouif takes care of the community by collaborating with artists or individuals. Moreover, she makes products that benefit people and the planet. Her objective is to make a sustainable community through clothing to promote usage and longevity. Ghitta Laskrouif believes that the ability to upcycle clothes and accessories with high aesthetic, is a high value added service that can make people reflect more about what they wear and their lifestyle.
