MedWaves facilitated 11 connections for market access and sales

Ten green entrepreneurs – spanning eco-tourism (Keepers of the Forest, TLB Destinations, Hotel Mas Pelegrí), textiles/decor (Gebraa, Aisha Design, Au Grain de Sesame, IDYR, Estudio Varali, Handmade Palestine), and cosmetics (Savvy Element) – were put in contact with seven established entities. These included online sales platforms (MyTindy, WildFabrik, ForPalestine.dk), travel agencies (Smart Travel Planet, Tarannà Viajes), a resource efficiency firm (Go Zero Waste), and a bookstore (Llibreria Altaïr).

Nine initial agreements are now in place. The green businesses provided their offers; the potential buyers agreed to review.

"We needed to see what these green products could actually deliver," stated a representative from one of the online marketplaces. "It's about viable alternatives, not just good intentions." ForPalestine.dk founder, Youssef Hussein

Meetings occurred, connecting sellers directly with those who might buy. Logistics, pricing, stock, and shipping were discussed by the buyers. Production capacity, manufacturing, service specifics, pricing, availability, quality control, and service terms were laid out by the green entrepreneurs.

“Getting face-to-face was crucial,” commented Asma Benachir the founder of “Au Grain de Sesame“. “They needed to understand our process and our limitations, and we needed to know their market demands.”

These initial exchanges are ongoing.

Sectors included textiles, accessories, cosmetics, ecotourism, waste management, and restaurants.

“The outreach helped us identify businesses actively looking for greener options,” Anna Ibanez, project manager in MedWaves noted. “It wasn’t just a general broadcast.”

MedWaves, via the Switchers Support Programme, aims to get sustainable businesses into the market and selling. This is about pushing eco-innovation and a greener economy by directly linking supply and demand.
