The Switchers initiative and AMWAJ Alliance raises 1K Euro for Switcher “Blue Filter”

Gaza is in the grips of a severe water crisis, with over 85% of its water and sanitation facilities damaged or destroyed by conflict and blockade. This dire situation has left countless families without access to clean, safe drinking water.

Gaza is facing an acute water crisis due to the blockade since October 2023, and the widespread destruction of its water infrastructure during the war. In March 2025, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics and the Water Authority reported that over 85% of water and sanitation facilities in Gaza were either completely or partially out of service.
